You might not think this is a big deal, but this is a HUGE step for me.

Here’s why:
1. I am going to miss several minutes of sleep in the morning. Ok, I can regain then if I had of to bed earlier at night. But who goes to bed early nowadays?
2. I have less time to get ready in the morning, so I will most likely be rushing. (Did I mention I bedshare with Lil Mochi after “halftime”? Then, you know the risk of me leaving the bed…)
3. Most important point of all: I will be missing out on wake up moments with Lil Mochi. Those precious moments where we cuddle and say “good morning” and smile and giving him time to wake up fully. I doubt the nanny is nearly as compassionate as I am, and I do not want him to feel abandoned as he wakes up.

I am doing this at the request of hubby. Trying out how this affects my workday schedule. So, this is only a trial day.

I want to try my best to stay with him as much as I can so that I can parent him the way I have envisioned. Give him the TLC that he needs. And, to minimize the symptoms of “the Terrible Twos” coming up, because he knows that I am there and I understand him.

We will see how I fare at the end of today. One good thing about being on Public Transportation is that I get time to read or write. That’s my silver lining.
